If you’re an SCCM Administrator and want Microsoft Intune Training, the best way is to get some hands-on experience. Intune is a cloud-based service from Microsoft that helps you manage devices like Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android. You can use it to install apps, apply security settings, and make sure devices follow company rules.

While SCCM and Intune share some concepts, Intune works very differently. You’ll need to learn about device enrollment, compliance policies, app deployment in the cloud, and how EntraID replaces many of the things you used to do with Group Policy and collections.

The good news is that your SCCM experience still helps. You already understand device management, Windows updates, and configuration policies. It’s just about learning how to do these tasks the “cloud way.”

Start by building a free lab, then follow the Microsoft Learn modules for Intune. With a bit of practice, you’ll feel comfortable managing devices with Intune in no time. Microsoft gives you a few ways to build your own lab environment for free.

In this post, I’ll show you how to set up your lab and also share some great training options to help you learn Intune at your own pace.
